2008 - Suriya - Vaaranam Aayiram Suriya was brilliant n his multi-age spectrum performance in Vaaranam Aayiram, a unique father-son story. The effort he had taken to look like the slim teenager, the cool college guy, the brawny youngster, the disciplined army officer, the middle aged dad and the aging cancer patient…. all in one movie was exemplary. It was as much for his effort as his expertly nuanced performance that the Filmfare came to him.
